The Canadian full-back has been linked with a move to Real Madrid since last season, however, Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg now reports that United could join the race as they look to bring in Davies for free next summer.

The 23-year-old’s current contract with Vincent Kompany’s side expires at the end of the 2024-25 campaign and he is yet to negotiate a new deal with Bayern. The report also adds that while United are exploring their options to rope in the talented defender, they do not consider themselves favourites in winning the transfer race as Real Madrid remain in pole position to sign him.
