Marc Casadó has become one of the big surprises of the current season for Barcelona, the young academy graduate has managed to secure a place in the centre of the field, playing the role of starting pivot under the direction of Hansi Flick. Marc Casadó Torras, born on 14 September 2003 in San Pedro de Vilamajor, Spain, is a promising midfielder for FC Barcelona in the Primera División. Trained in youth clubs such as CF Vilamajor, PB Sant Celoni, and CF Damm, he joined Barcelona’s youth system in 2016, at the age of 13.
At the Juvenil A level, Casadó stood out as captain, leading the team to the league and the Champions Cup in 2020-21. He was called up to the Barcelona Atlètic bench four times in 2021, and in 2022 he was officially promoted to the team, extending his contract until 2024.
He made his debut for Barça Atlètic on 27 August 2022 in a 3-2 win over CD Castellón. His first appearance for the first team came in the Champions League on 1 November 2022 in a 4-2 win against Viktoria Pilsen.
With the arrival of Hansi Flick in the 2024-25 season, Casadó has established himself in the team. He participated in the pre-season tour in the USA and started in matches against Manchester City, Real Madrid and AC Milan, accumulating significant minutes.
