Several media outlets in Colombia reported the death of Daniel Alejandro Salinas Sánchez, known as DJ Exotic ; however, this turned out to be false and his ex-partner, Marcela Reyes, denied it.

The electronic music artist was injured in a shooting at the Rey de Corazones motel, located on the Cali – Jamundí highway, in Valle del Cauca. This incident occurred on November 3 at a private party, attended by 200 people.

The incident left one person dead and two injured, including DJ Exotic , who was initially treated at a health center. The DJ was shot in the leg, which required surgery because the bullet hit an artery.

In that sense, the media reported the death, but through Instagram Marcela Reyes came out to deny it: ” We want to officially clarify that Exotic DJ has not passed away. Unfortunately, false rumors and speculations have circulated that have caused great anguish to his family, especially his mother and son .”

The queen of guaracha also asked for respect for her son Valentino and the rest of her former partner’s family: ” We strongly ask that you stop the defamation and lies that are being spread without foundation, as they are deeply affecting the emotional well-being of their loved ones. We appreciate everyone’s respect and understanding, and we ask that, instead of spreading misinformation, you verify the facts before sharing any news .”

At the beginning of her career, her career was affected by a controversial video of her discovering her partner’s alleged infidelity, but despite this, she managed to overcome the criticism and managed to gain international recognition with her musical creations.
