Mayte Zaldívar, a Spaniard, was born in 1957 and is now 67 years old . In the 1970s, she decided to move to the capital with the aim of getting into the film industry, and it was then that she met her ex-husband Julián Muñoz.
As the former mayor recounted on numerous occasions, their romance was love at first sight , and together they decided to start a life together in the Madrid municipality of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, where they married in 1974.
Some time later, Julián became mayor of Marbella with the GIL party (Independent Liberal Group), and it was then that his fame began to grow by leaps and bounds.

Maite Zaldívar is the mother of two daughters: Eloísa and Elia, and although Julián Muñoz is not her father, he acted as if he were her biological father during and after her divorce in 2003.
Eloísa is the eldest of the two sisters and, although she is the result of a previous relationship with Maite Zaldívar, Muñoz always showed her affection and acted as if he were her father. Elia was the second addition to the family, news that was a great joy .
