No matter what happens with Prince Harry, it is unlikely that King Charles and the other members of the royal family will reconcile with Meghan Markle, a “toxic” woman.
There was a time when Meghan Markle and King Charles seemed to have a good relationship. Prince Harry’s father even walked the duchess down the aisle the day she married his son.
Things go downhill when the Sussexes leave their royal duties and move across the ocean. They publicly air their grievances against the royal family and their relationship quickly deteriorates.
Trust does not exist
And while there is talk of Prince Harry reconciling with the royal, the same cannot be said for Meghan. According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, a reconciliation with the Duchess of Sussex is off the table due to her “toxicity”. He told The Sun : “The royal has always kept the door open to Harry, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to get a warm welcome. It will take time. But clearly things have changed in recent weeks beyond anyone’s expectations. I don’t think it’s going to be too difficult, it all depends on what you mean by reconciliation.”
But whatever happens between the royal and his youngest son, it doesn’t mean Meghan is automatically forgiven. “I think there’s still a long way to go before Charles gets closer to Meghan and the children,” Mr Fitzwilliams adds. Meghan is seen by the royal family as toxic and untrustworthy.
