Mexican arrested in La Ceiba for raping three women in El Salvador

The Honduran National Police reported this Sunday the arrest of a 32-year-old Mexican citizen in La Ceiba, who is suspected of aggravated rape and injuries.

According to the authorities’ report, the operation to capture him took place in the Club de Leones neighborhood of La Ceiba, Atlántida.

According to official reports, the detainee had an outstanding arrest warrant issued on December 5, 2022 by the Second Court of Penitentiary Surveillance and Execution of Sentences in La Libertad, El Salvador.

 The warrant relates to serious crimes committed against three women, raising concerns in both countries about the safety of the victims.

They also indicated that the capture operation was possible thanks to the collaboration of the National Police Attaché of El Salvador in Honduras, which provided crucial intelligence information for the identification and location of the suspect.
