According to reports, Portillo’s car, a red Hyundai Elantra, ended up overturned with its tires up in the median strip of the boulevard, while another vehicle, a Hyundai Tucson, suffered a flat tire.
Faced with this situation, agents from the National Directorate of Roads and Transport (DNVT) went to the scene to attend to the accident.
According to various Motagua fan pages, Clever Portillo and his companions escaped unharmed.
The club’s doctors and physiotherapists provided immediate support to the player, who was taken to a nearby medical centre for a routine check-up.
So far, it has been confirmed that Portillo is in good health and has no serious injuries; however, the accident caused material damage.
