Driver ignores traffic light and leaves injured delivery man in the middle of the street; everything was captured on video posted on social media.
A serious traffic accident occurred on the streets of the Iztacalco municipality, Mexico , when a motorist ignored a red light and drove forward, hitting a motorcycle deliveryman .
The incident, recorded by a surveillance camera located at the intersection of Eje 6 Sur and Andrés Molina Enríquez, sparked outrage after being shared on social media.
The crash occurred on Sunday afternoon, according to the date and time captured on the video. In the images, it can be seen how the driver of a white vehicle , despite having initially stopped to wait for other vehicles to pass with the green light, decided to move forward as soon as he saw a free space.
However, the driver did not notice the presence of a delivery man on a motorcycle who was travelling on his far right at a considerable speed.
The motorcyclist, without time to brake, crashed into the right side of the car, being thrown into the air and falling violently onto the asphalt, while his motorcycle skidded on the road.
Despite the severity of the accident , the driver of the car, who was responsible for the crash, chose to accelerate and flee, leaving the motorcyclist injured at the scene.
The health status of the delivery man is still unknown, as is the identity and whereabouts of the driver of the white vehicle. The authorities have not yet reported on the possible arrest of the driver.
