Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of NATO’s Military Committee, asserted that civilian populations need to be trained to be able to react in the event of conflict.
The NATO representative asserted that we need to prepare for more training, and spoke of a kind of service to train civilians and soldiers. We must rely on concrete actions.
For Admiral:
“To really strengthen ourselves, we need to train under Article 5 and train civilians and military. We literally have to exercise our solidarity. If we train, not only do we prepare ourselves, but we also show our population that they don’t have to feel disconnected.”
A few days ago, Germany announced its intention to reintroduce “military service” to prepare its population for possible conflicts.
