Ray J has revealed more details about his confrontation with Diddy‘s three sons Justin, Christian and Quincy while sitting down for a chat with Nicki Minaj.
The “One Wish” singer appeared on Minaj’s Instagram Live on Wednesday (October 30) and detailed what went down between him and the Combs siblings at a Halloween party this past weekend.
After being asked point-blank by Nicki if he was “fighting in the club,” Ray J replied: “No, we didn’t have a fight. We had a big argument right outside the club. This time, I think I got loud and got aggressive. But it was the third time this happened so I felt like I needed to stand up for myself.
“Even though I was talking shit and we were having a lot of crazy words, I was walking that way to avoid the issue. So that’s what happened and it’s unfortunate.”
He then revealed that he and the Combs siblings later hashed things out on a phone call: “What’s dope is that we all got on the phone and we talked for about 35 minutes.”
The singer and reality star also confirmed that the confrontation was over “comments I was making on my show,” referring to his somewhat bizarre monologue about “asses being taken” on his web series The Reality Check with Ray J.
Later in the conversation, Ray J detailed one of his previous run-ins with Diddy’s sons, saying: “First off, they tried to fight me before in a hotel. Justin said, ‘Let’s take a fade. I don’t like what you’re talking about with my pops.’”
He added: “They tried to [be] cocky [to] me. It was in another dimension […] I feel sad that violence is at the forefront of this, and we shouldn’t do that.”
It was previously reported that Ray J was confronted by the three Combs siblings following influencer Tara Electra’s Unruly Agency Halloween party in Los Angeles in the early hours of Sunday morning (October 27).
According to TMZ, Justin, Christian and Quincy surrounded the 43-year-old and took issue with some of the things he had said about their father since he was first accused of sexual assault last year.
An argument broke out, with Justin and Christian allegedly making it clear that they wanted to fight Ray J.
Chris Brown, along with others, then reportedly stepped in to break up the confrontation and diffuse the situation between the four men.
Ray J later confirmed the report while appearing on Clubhouse with Wack 100 but asked the controversial music manager not to post his comments online.
The singer previously said he was cutting ties with Diddy after the video of him assaulting Cassie in 2016 surfaced online.
Appearing on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, he said: “Everybody messes up, but we can’t be cool after that. It’s unforgiveable, it’s too much.”
He added: “There’s no room for that in this world that we’ve been working hard to get to […] That’s fucking unacceptable. I’ve never ever seen nothing like that in my life.”
Ray J also suggested a unique punishment for Diddy: “Bare knuckles, you know what I’m saying? The homie need a public whipping. It’s the only way it’s gonna be right […] 100 lashes […] 1,000 lashes. That would help.”
