The Super Eagles come into the match under the guidance of interim coach George Finidi after the exit of Jose Peseiro upon the expiry of his contract.
The former winger will miss the services of star striker Victor Osimhen who is injured alongside William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, and veteran attacker Ahmed Musa for the same reason.
Other players who pulled out of the friendly are Tyronne Ebuehi, Gabriel Osho, and Taiwo Awoniyi.
Nigeria probable XI: Nwabali, Awaziem, Ajayi, Bassey, Onyemaechi, Ndidi, Chukwueze, Iwobi, Onyeka, Lookman, Iheanacho.
Just like their rivals, the Black Stars are under a new coach Otto Addo who was recently appointed as Chris Hughton’s replacement.
Addo will be without Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey who is gaining his fitness after an injury lay-off.
Orlando Pirates keeper Richard Ofori and West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus are nursing knocks which renders them unavailable for the fixture.
Ghana Probable XI: Ati-Zigi, Lamptey, Djiku, Salisu, Mensah, Majeed, Samed, A. Ayew, J. Ayew, Issahaku, Semenyo.
Head-to-head and recent form
The Super Eagles have lost just one out of their last seven matches played while Ghana have not won any of their last five outings – in which they have suffered five losses.
In the Head-to-Head record, the last five matches have seen Ghana secure two wins with the remaining three ending in draws. The last time the Super Eagles defeated the Black Stars was in the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations when they claimed a 1-0 win.
