Hotness is important to Martha Stewart, which is why she would never agree to star in ABC’s “The Golden Bachelorette.”
No amount of money, even $10 million, could get Stewart to reconsider her stance, with the much younger-looking 83-year-old telling “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen that the “guys aren’t hot enough.”
ABC’s latest “Bachelor” spinoff series was one of many “pop culture happenings” the lifestyle mogul and bestie Snoop Dogg dished opinions on as fellow guest Seth Meyers guessed whether or not they actually cared.
The dynamic duo also briefly touched on the new “Wicked” movie and Stewart’s long-standing feud with Food Network star Ina Garten, who recently released a new memoir, “Be Ready When the Luck Happens.”
Both Stewart and Snoop responded with a resounding “no” when asked if they gave a darn about the reality dating show. And Stewart shared a similar response after Cohen asked if she would appear on the show if invited.
“It ain’t about money, it’s about how hot the guys are,” Snoop Dogg said. “She said, ‘$10 million can’t get it if he don’t look right.’”
‘Golden Bachelorette’ responds after Martha Stewart’s revelation
“Golden Bachelorette” Joan Vassos, who is still searching for her own happily ever after, did not agree with Stewart’s assessment in a recent interview with Access Hollywood. She even reached out to Stewart on social media, but hasn’t gotten a response.
“Dating is hard out there and I had a great group of guys,” Vassos said. “She doesn’t know em’ like I know em.’ I got to know the inside of them, as well as the outside and both are wonderful.”
The 24 men handpicked to vie for her heart over were all “great guys,” Vassos said.
According to Vassos, every single one of them did something “memorable and made me want to get to know them more” the first night they stepped out of the limo and walked to her.
“I guess Martha Stewart didn’t watch or didn’t see what I saw in them and maybe you have to be in person. I don’t know. But they were special guys,” Vassos said.
Vassos said she felt like “everybody was falling in love with them.”
“I’m like ‘What’s wrong with you Martha? They’re awesome guys,’” said Vassos.
