Nuclear conflict is nearing

A close ally of Vladimir Putin has threatened the West with the prospect of nuclear conflict as tensions between Russia and NATO escalate.

Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian president and current deputy chairman of the National Security Council, falsely claimed that Ukraine is developing a “dirty bomb” with the intention of dropping it on Russia.

He said: “Considering the seemingly meaningless chatter around the creation of nuclear weapons by…Ukraine, one can only make one sad conclusion: The Na*i regime is trying to create a ‘dirty bomb.’ It has all the resources to do this: raw materials, technology, specialists.

“And any Soviet-era laboratory will do for making a low-power charge. The clock is ticking,” he added.

This statement comes as Kyiv continues to urge Western countries to lift all restrictions on the use of Western-supplied weapons, allowing the Ukrainian military to directly target sites within Russia.

Ukraine seeks to use American and British weapons on Russian territory, but both countries have refused so far.

Last week, Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed part of his “victory plan,” which includes a call for rapid NATO membership.
