Marisa Paredes died on Tuesday afternoon at the age of 78. Considered one of the most important actresses of her generation, she achieved international fame thanks, in part, to her performances in six feature films by Pedro Almodóvar.
She also collaborated with renowned international directors, such as the Italian Roberto Benigni on the acclaimed tragicomic film about World War II, Life is Beautiful , and later with the Mexican Guillermo del Toro on The Devil's Backbone . Cause of death of Marisa Paredes
Her husband, Chema Prado , has informed local media and revealed the cause of her death. He also said that Paredes' death was an unexpected surprise, as she had no previous illness. "She had a heart failure, it was very sudden. This morning ," he said. According to her family, the 78-year-old actress was in good health and in recent weeks had not shown any worrying symptoms that could lead to a tragic outcome. María Luisa Paredes Bartolomé, better known as Marisa Paredes, was born on April 3, 1946 in Madrid, Spain. She came from a humble family, as her mother worked as a doorman. Her father did not support young Marisa's desire to be an actress, but in the end she managed to fulfill her dream. On more than one occasion, she herself recounted that she grew up in a basement, in the doorman's lodge of the building where her mother worked. Marisa Paredes is known to have three siblings .
