A baby barely 17 days old was abducted from a hospital in Paris late on Monday night. The suspects are the baby’s parents.
The French justice ministry issued an abduction alert on Tuesday morning following the disappearance of a 17-day-old baby in Aulnay-sous-Bois, near Paris. The newborn, named Santiago, came into the world two months early and needs ‘essential’ medical care.
The suspected kidnappers are the baby’s parents, a man aged 23 and a woman aged 25, both of whom are no strangers to police and justice. Five relatives of the parents were already detained for questioning on Tuesday morning.
According to sources close to the investigation, the baby would be in mortal danger if not given the necessary care for 12 hours.
