San Fernando Valley, CA – Polo G has been arrested in Los Angeles after police allegedly found a gun in his car.

According to TMZ, the Chicago rapper was arrested on October 19 after being pulled over for speeding in San Fernando Valley, with cops searching his vehicle and discovering a loaded weapon.

Polo (real name Taurus Tremani Bartlett) was then arrested and booked for felony possession of a concealed weapon.

The 25-year-old was eventually released from jail on Monday (October 21), per the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website

The reason for his release was listed as Section 849(b)(1) of the California Penal Code, which states: “The officer is satisfied that there are insufficient grounds for making a criminal complaint against the person arrested.”

Polo G, who is set to begin his Hood Poet Tour on Thursday (October 24), has not yet commented on his arrest.

This is not the first time that the rapper has gotten into legal trouble this year as he was arraigned on gun possession charges in April after leaving a weapon in a New York hotel room, which was later found by a maid.

Polo was granted bail over the incident despite objections from prosecutors, who cited the rapper’s past criminal record which includes arrests for kidnapping, assault and robbery.

Polo was also arrested last year for gun possession following a raid on his Southern California home, for which he was booked along with his brother Trench Baby, who was hit with a robbery charge.

The LAPD told TMZ that the raid was in response to a previous report that Baby allegedly robbed a man in Granada Hills during a music video shoot.

According to the report, he allegedly drew a handgun with an extended magazine on the victim when he arrived, demanding the victim empty his pockets and wire money to him. The pair apparently had a previous working relationship.

As for Polo, he was booked for illegal possession of the short-barreled rifle that was allegedly used in the aforementioned robbery. Additionally, cops said numerous firearms were recovered from his property during the raid.

Images of the recovered firearms recovered leaked online soon after, showing a small arsenal of rifles, machine guns, pistols and a shotgun, among other items.

The same year, Polo was also arrested on kidnapping charges alongside his brother, with the duo later being released after posting $100,000 bail.
