On the night of Thursday to Friday, a 67-year-old British pastor was found dead in his house in Heide-Kalmthout, in the Belgian province of Antwerp, near the Dutch border.
Traces of ecstasy were found on the victim’s body. The 60-year-old priest B. from Heide-Kalmthout alerted the emergency services. However, it is possible that he was involved in the case.
In fact, the police questioned him and decided to arrest him pending the autopsy. The British priest, aged 67, was a friend of the Belgian priest, aged 60. He was visiting the Belgian when he was suddenly found dead in the night, with narcotics in his blood.
The prosecution has called in an investigating judge for drug trafficking leading to death. It is not yet clear what happened between the two clergymen in the presbytery and how the British priest actually met his death.
