Ukraine’s long-range missiles and drones can now target a third of Russia’s nuclear infrastructure, putting the country at serious risk, according to Foreign Affairs magazine.

The report notes that 30% of Russia’s 5,580 nuclear warheads are within range, with additional warheads stationed in Belarus for over a year.

In the past, Ukrainian drones have managed to get close to Moscow, with some intercepted just outside the Russian capital.

Although Vladimir Putin has repeatedly threatened to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, it is now unlikely that he will position warheads closer to the border, as they would be within easy reach of Ukrainian forces.

Ukraine recently conducted a successful test of a new ballistic missile, the Hrim-2, which has a range of 500 kilometers and has been praised for its accuracy.

This military and technological advance will allow Ukraine to strike targets directly within Russian territory without needing permission from Western allies.

After a decade of development, Yehor Chernev said that the missile is now combat-ready.

“Believe me, there will soon be concrete results that not only Ukraine but also the Russian Federation will see,” said the chairman of Ukraine’s delegation to NATO.
