Putin has a big problem that is difficult to solve

For this researcher and specialist in international issues, the Russian regime is much more vulnerable than one might think, due to the extreme personalization of the power of the master of the Kremlin, who is increasingly cut off from reality.

For Maksim Samorukov, a researcher at the Russia-Eurasia Center in Berlin, Putin’s regime is close to collapse, and its economy is on the brink:

“The very nature of the Russian regime makes it vulnerable, because it is totally dependent on the decision of a single person. This concentration of power has been further reinforced by the war in Ukraine. So much so that, faced with any new problem, the regime reacts only according to the point of view and personal biases of an autocrat.”

And the researcher continues:

“With such a way of operating, it is impossible not to make mistakes. All the more so as this man, Vladimir Putin, is getting older and is becoming more and more detached from reality. His obsession with Ukraine is causing him to ignore all other subjects and the overheating of the Russian economy.”

Putin is developing a war economy in the short term that will shake Russian society.

An analysis that is at least interesting and relevant.
