Rains continue this Friday due to indirect influence of Rafael; Valle and Choluteca on green alert
According to Ceanos, the forecast rains will occur mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Accumulations of up to 80 millimetres are expected.

Rains of varying intensity will be recorded in the afternoon and evening hours of this Friday in several regions of Honduras , as an indirect effect of Hurricane Rafael , which has caused the Intertropical Convergence Zone to approach the Pacific coast of Central America .
This was reported by the National Center for Atmospheric, Oceanographic and Seismic Studies (Cenaos), through its reports published on its social media accounts.
In its daily forecast, Cenaos indicates that the rains will be moderate to occasionally heavy , accompanied by electrical activity, mainly in the southern, southwestern, southeastern regions and some sectors of the central zone of the country.
Rainfall is expected to reach up to 60 millimeters in the departments of Choluteca, Comayagua, El Paraíso and La Paz . In some areas of Francisco Morazán , rainfall could reach 80 millimeters.
In Valle, Gracias a Dios, Olancho, Intibucá and Lempira, rainfall will range between 30 millimeters, according to the Cenaos report.
The rest of the country will be under mostly dry conditions, according to the same agency.
The Secretariat for National Risk and Contingency Management (Copeco) has maintained a green alert for the departments of Valle and Choluteca (south) due to the forecast of rain.
This preventive measure will come into effect at 12:00 pm on November 8 and will remain in effect for 48 hours.
