Rains of up to 90 millimeters will affect much of Honduras this Sunday

Several departments in Honduras will experience heavy rains, according to the National Center for Atmospheric, Oceanographic and Seismic Studies (Cenaos).

The rains this Sunday in Honduras, caused by a trough in low levels of the atmosphere and the convergence of wind and humidity from the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, will bring accumulations of up to 90 millimeters , reported the National Center for Atmospheric, Oceanographic and Seismic Studies (Cenaos).

According to the weather report, rainfall, accompanied by isolated electrical activity, will impact most of the country, especially in the afternoon and evening hours.

The heaviest rainfall is expected to be concentrated in the southern, southwestern, central and eastern regions of Honduras.

In the departments of Ocotepeque, Valle, Intibucá and Olancho, rainfall will be between 40 and 50 millimeters.

In Lempira, La Paz, Francisco Morazán and El Paraíso , rainfall will reach between 60 and 80 millimeters , while the southern region could register up to 90 millimeters of rain.

Maximum temperatures expected today will range between 28 and 29 degrees Celsius in the central, western and northern regions; between 30 and 32 degrees in the east, and up to 34 degrees in the south of the country.
