Russian sabotage, Putin sows chaos in Europe

Ken Mc Callum, Director General of MI5, the British intelligence service, has made alarming remarks about the operations carried out by the Russian secret services on European territory.

For Mc Callum: “The support given by the United Kingdom to Ukraine gives it a place of choice in the overflowing imagination of the Putin regime and we must expect that acts of aggression will continue at home. The Russian intelligence service, in particular, has the mission of sowing chaos on the streets of Britain and Europe. We have seen arson, sabotage and much more, dangerous actions carried out with increasing recklessness and which have precisely the opposite effect to that sought by the Russian state by promoting increased operational coordination with its partners in Europe and beyond.”

More specifically, the Guardian quotes a member of the British anti-terrorist police who is investigating whether spies placed an incendiary device on a plane bound for the United Kingdom, which caused a fire at a DHL warehouse in Birmingham.
