Cooperation between North Korea and Russia is growing closer. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has promised Putin to send 12,000 troops to help fight Ukraine.

But the Russian military is not happy with the arrival of North Korean soldiers. This is evident from the intercepted audio, in which the North Koreans are heavily insulted.

Russian soldiers are concerned about the way North Korean soldiers are being led and immediately supplied with ammunition and military equipment. After a short period of training, they will be sent to the front for Russia.

But this is not to the liking of the Russian military. This is revealed by leaked information intercepted by the Ukrainian defense intelligence service. Russian soldiers speak with disdain of the arriving North Korean soldiers, codenamed “Battalion K”, and at one point call them “f…ing Chinese”.

The intercepted audio indicates that there are plans to deploy one interpreter and three senior officers for every 30 North Koreans.

“The only thing I don’t understand is that there are three senior officers for 30 men. Where are we going to get them?” says a Russian soldier. Another soldier can be heard saying of the Koreans: “What are we going to do with them?

The intercepted recording follows an announcement by Ukrainian military intelligence last Thursday that a group of North Korean soldiers had been spotted in Russia’s Kursk region, an area bordering Ukraine where military operations are underway.
