South Korea may arm Ukraine

The arrival of North Korean soldiers on the front lines of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict has prompted South Korea to review its position.
President Yoon Suk Yeol says he’s in favor of sending weapons to Ukraine. As a matter of principle, North Korea didn’t want to supply lethal weapons to another country. But the situation has changed in Ukraine with the confirmation of the deployment of North Korean troops on Russian soil, a priori to subsequently confront Ukrainian troops.
Since then, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has indicated that his country will now study “with more flexibility” the supply of weapons to Ukraine, depending on the actions of the North Korean soldiers deployed. He made this statement on October 24, 2024, in the company of Polish President Andrzej Duda, in Seoul.
