South Korea is considering deploying a military team to Ukraine to monitor the activities of North Korean troops that Pyongyang has sent to support Russia’s war efforts.

According to South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency, the team would consist of military intelligence officers trained to analyze battlefield tactics and who could also help interrogate captured North Korean soldiers.

The Seoul government is also considering providing weapons to Ukraine, marking a potentially significant policy shift, Yonhap said.

“While monitoring signs of military cooperation between North Korea and Russia, response measures will be taken in stages,” a source said.
