On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, a 25-year-old student was stabbed in the centre of Brussels.
The victim, along with two female students, was harassed by two young men at the Bourse. They accosted the victim and asked for a cigarette. Afterwards, they also demanded his mobile phone, which he refused.
After the 25-year-old student accompanied his friends to their student dormitory, he then wanted to walk alone to his student residence, but the same pair harassed him again around 2.30 am. One of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed the student. The two 18-year-old perpetrators fled the scene, leaving the student bleeding heavily on the street. Police, MUG and ambulance were quickly at the scene and took the life-threatened victim to hospital. There, he died of his injuries not much later.
The police managed to identify and nab the perpetrators. The knife was also recovered.
