While the singer is known for not confirming her attendance in advance, that wasn’t the case for the Chiefs’ season opener. Before the game, The Athletic had revealed that Swift would be there. The information was leaked by an anonymous source familiar with Arrowhead Stadium’s security measures. The leak particularly angered Swift’s team.

“She has presidential-level security ,” a source told the outlet. “ After Austria, her security company is not too happy about her whereabouts being known.” Indeed, in August 2024, Swift’s Eras tour stop in Vienna, Austria, was the target of a foiled terrorist plot. As a result, the shows were canceled and Swift’s security was beefed up.
