The rains continue this Thursday in Honduras

The rains will be caused by the intertropical convergence zone that will be located over the national territory, according to Cenaos.

The  Center for Atmospheric, Oceanographic and Seismic Studies  (Cenaos) reported that rain and showers accompanied by electrical activity will continue on Thursday in most of Honduras.

The rains will be caused by the intertropical convergence zone that will be located over the national territory, a phenomenon that is combined with high humidity and wind coming from the Pacific Ocean.

“The intertropical convergence zone will be over the national territory and, on the other hand, a lot of humidity and wind coming from the Pacific Ocean towards the interior of the country will be generating rain and showers accompanied by electrical activity,” reported Walter Aguilar, Cenaos meteorologist.

Temperatures

In the western region, in Lempira, maximum temperatures are expected to be 29 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures of 19; in Ocotepeque, maximum temperatures will be 28 and minimum temperatures will be 20, while in Santa Bárbara the maximum temperatures will be 30 and minimum temperatures will be 22.

La Paz will have a maximum of 30 and a minimum of 20; Intibucá will have a maximum of 22 and a minimum of 14; and Copán will have a maximum of 28 and a minimum of 18.

In the north, Yoro will have a maximum of 29 and a minimum of 20, while in Cortés the maximum will be 33 and the minimum 23.

In the central-eastern area, Olancho will have a maximum temperature of 33 and a minimum of 22, El Paraíso, with a maximum of 26 and a minimum of 18.

In Francisco Morazán, maximum temperatures of 29 and minimum temperatures of 19 will be recorded, and in Gracias a Dios, maximum temperatures of 32 and minimum temperatures of 25.

In the Atlantic, in Colón the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum 25; in the Bay Islands, the maximum temperature will be 33 and the minimum 27.

Finally, in southern Honduras, Valle will record maximum temperatures of 31 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures of 24; and Choluteca, the maximum temperatures will be 30 and the minimum temperatures 25.

Surf

Regarding maritime conditions, waves on the Caribbean coast are expected to be normal, with heights of 1 to 3 feet. However, in the Gulf of Honduras, waves are expected to be slightly altered, reaching between 3 and 5 feet.
