Newcastle enjoyed another home win over Arsenal on Saturday, taking all three points thanks to Isak’s 12th-minute header. The result means it’s two Premier League defeats in three games for the Gunners and a massive dent to their title hopes already. Fans were quick to react to the dismal loss on social media and are convinced their hopes of being crowned champions are already over for another season.

      • WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING

Arsenal supporter @HassanGooner10 posted on X: “Unacceptable performance, the title is officially gone.”

And @bradjrr urged the Gunners to focus on other targets: “We are not yet at the level required of winning the PL title. Let’s focus on top four and cup titles.”

There was also criticism directed at the manager, with @slowfee9 posting: “Honestly. Its obvious. If we dont win any trophy this season then Arteta time is up,” while @nawaswa1 wrote: “Arteta is just a scam two seasons we bottled the league when had clear chances, failed to get us a clinical 9.”

And @StanSylvester felt the club has made the wrong signings: “This is what happens when u buy a DM and a defender instead of a striker. We were bad at the back before Arteta came, now we’re terrible upfront.”
