These extremely expensive jokes cost Trump the White House

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe has received a lot of hate and outrage since his appearance at Donald Trump’s election rally in Madison Square Garden. Did he really go too far?
Humor can obviously be debated for hours, but judge for yourself whether or not you think these jokes he told during his 10-minute or so interlude were appropriate.
Comedian Hinchcliffe at one point referred to Puerto Rico as “a floating island of trash in the ocean.” This statement immediately proved to have far-reaching implications for the Trump campaign because influential Americans with Puerto Rican roots immediately called for voting for Harris in response. Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, among others, addressed his millions of followers to drop Trump. Luis Fonsi and Ricky Martin also voiced their support for the Democrats after the performance.
“This is what they think of us,” Ricky Martin wrote on Instagram accompanying Hinchcliffe’s speech. He called on his 18 million followers to vote for Harris.
Hinchcliffe likes to “roast” people, but that humor does not appear to be to everyone’s taste at a political event. At the Trump rally in New York, he also lashed out firmly. Among other things, he made comments about sending migrants back at the border and said that “those Latinos like to make babies.” He also asked the crowd if they knew that “right now there is literally an island of garbage” floating around “in the middle of the ocean.” “I think they call it Puerto Rico.”
Do these jokes cost Trump the support of the Latino community and perhaps even the presidency?
