A minor was seriously injured after a thief punched and kicked him during an attempt to steal his bicycle.
The violent incident took place in the Palenque neighborhood, in the Kennedy area of Bogotá, Colombia.
According to information from the newspaper El Tiempo Colombia, two minors were victims of a violent attack that left one of them seriously injured.
One of the boys managed to escape, while the other endured a brutal beating in an attempt to stop the robbery.
According to the report, the incident occurred on October 1, around 2:00 pm, in broad daylight.
Security cameras in the area captured the moment when the two minors, a boy and a girl, were walking down the street after leaving school.
Suddenly, a man approached on a bicycle from the opposite direction. Without saying a word, he quickly got off his bike and began to attack the boy violently, hitting him repeatedly.
“These criminals take advantage of lonely places and wear caps to avoid being identified. They don’t care about anything, they attack children and sometimes even use knives,” said a resident of the area.

Despite the blows, the boy clung tightly to his bike, receiving several punches and kicks. At one point, the attacker tried to lift the boy to take his bike, but he resisted.
Meanwhile, the girl who was accompanying him ran out to get help, causing the attacker to eventually leave the scene, leaving the injured boy next to his bicycle.
