It was a dramatic story that took place on Saturday evening in a wildlife park in Nigeria. A lion attacked and killed a 35-year-old zookeeper.
The fatal incident occurred at the Presidential Library Zoo in southwest Nigeria, owned by former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The zookeeper reportedly took some guests with him after the park closed to show them how he fed the lions. Once there, things went horribly wrong. The keeper allegedly failed to close the security gates…, giving the lion, who was feeding, time to attack and bite him to death. Park staff rushed to the keeper’s aid, but to no avail, and later had to shoot the lion dead.
