This is what DNVT’s investigation into Demetri Gordon’s accident reveals
Edward Demetri Gordon died early Sunday morning in a traffic accident in La Ceiba, Atlántida.

The National Directorate of Roads and Transportation (DNVT) revealed the results of the investigation carried out after the death of Edward Demetri Gordon in La Ceiba, Atlántida.
In an interview with tunota.com, the head of the Traffic Accident Investigation Section (SIAT) of the DNVT, Darwin Hernández , revealed the details of the tragedy.
The 21-year-old was hanging out with a group of friends when he received a call, the deputy commissioner explained; after this, one of his friends lent him the truck and Demetri set off on his way.
“Unfortunately, he was going at an incorrect speed, going 135 kilometres per hour, and he lost control of the vehicle,” revealed the head of SIAT.
Because of this, the Olimpia player hit the small truck that was parked off the road (on the sidewalk), flying over it.
“This is what caused his immediate death because there is no body that can withstand that energy and that speed,” said Hernandez.
Gordon’s family has not yet commented on the information revealed by the traffic authorities.
The young man’s body remains in his native Santos Guardiola , a municipality in the Bay Islands, where he will be given a final farewell surrounded by his loved ones.
