This was the impressive ‘rain’ of excrement that affected drivers, cyclists and pedestrians

A pipe explosion caused a column of excrement at least ten metres high to be thrown out onto the public road.

Several videos that went viral on social media showed different angles of the exact moment when sewage pipes exploded on the streets of Nanning, China , causing a shower of feces. Drivers, pedestrians and motorcyclists ended up covered in excrement.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 24, at 11 a.m. According to ‘The Sun’ , the pipes had recently been installed and a section of the road was breached during construction work.

According to local media, authorities revealed that no one was injured, but the explosion was so powerful that an excavator overturned due to the impact.

The British newspaper reported that the break is believed to have occurred while engineers were carrying out a pressure test during the laying of sewer pipes.

The explosion has been compared to a volcano, tornado and rain. The fecal matter is estimated to have reached a height of more than 10 metres. One of the videos showed a general view of the scene.

You can see the busy road and the vehicles moving when suddenly the pipe bursts, creating a large brown cloud that spreads across the area, even reaching the other side of the avenue.

There were no injuries after the excrement explosion

Although there were no injuries, many of those affected by the rain of fecal matter complained about the smell, damage to their vehicles and the cleaning they had to do.

Authorities rushed to the scene and a major clean-up operation was carried out after the explosion. They are reportedly investigating the causes of the pipe burst to prevent similar incidents in the future.
