Morning show hosts are once again starting Halloween off right.
The hosts from “Today,” “Live with Kelly and Mark” and more kicked off the spookiest day of the year with pop culture references and beloved movie characters. And if you’re one of the people disappointed by the lack of scary costumes these days, don’t fret, as “The Kelly Clarkson Show” continues to be dedicated to scary-good getups.
Meanwhile, celebrities such as Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner and more have already gotten into the sinister spirit.

‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ are sporty chic as Taylor and Travis
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos channeled another famous couple, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, in costumes that USA TODAY exclusively previewed earlier this week.

The co-hosts donned looks similar to Traylor’s outfits at the US Open in September, with Ripa in a checked mini-dress with cat-eye sunglasses, soft waves and red lips, and Consuelos sporting a thick mustache, white cardigan and polo with shorts and a fake Gucci bucket hat courtesy of the “Live” costume closet.
‘Today’ goes movie-mad with ‘Titanic,’ Mrs. Doubtfire costumes
“Today” is on Halloween overload, with every anchor fully committing to their costumes for the “VHS rewind” theme.
Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager hilariously revisited their “Titanic” portrayals of Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater; NBC White House correspondent and anchor Peter Alexander danced as Mrs. Doubtfire; meteorologists Dylan Dreyer and Al Roker were Lydia Deetz and Beetlejuice, respectively, from the 1988 film and its sequel; and anchors Carson Daly and Sheinelle Jones pulled out a dance number as Austin Powers and Foxxy Cleopatra from “Austin Powers in Goldmember.”
Meanwhile, anchors Willie Geist channeled his inner Ron Burgundy, Savannah Guthrie brought Luke Wilson along for the ride as the Emmett Richmond to her Elle Woods from “Legally Blonde,” Craig Melvin pulled up in an old school Chevy Nova as Axel F. Foley from “Beverly Hills Cop” and Laura Jarrett cheered for the Clovers as Gabrielle Union’s Isis from “Bring It On.”

Kelly Clarkson and band perform as ‘Beetlejuice’ characters
Kelly Clarkson and her band don’t play about Halloween. Following up on Clarkson’s Morticia Addams costume from “The Addams Family” last year, the crew took on “Beetlejuice” this year, with the singer as the titular character on a set that fully recreates the model city from the movie.
Reba McEntire and boyfriend and “Happy’s Place” co-star Rex Linn will also make an appearance on the episode in their own costumes.
Clarkson and My Band Y’all will also perform a creepy cover of Harry Belafonte’s “Banana Boat (Day-O)” from the film.
