Historian Allan Lichtman, who predicted with precision nine of the ten last presidential elections, said that he always thought that Kamala Harris would beat Donald Trump, but that this year, he felt particularly nervous.
“We’re going to have a new American president who will make history: Kamala Harris will become the first woman president of the United States, which will at least break the glass ceiling, if not shatter it,” he said.
Lichtman also said:
“I’ve been doing this for 42 years and every four years I get butterflies in my stomach.”
“This year, I think I have a flock of crows in my stomach,” referring to the uncertainty surrounding the vote.
Lichtman said he’s not nervous about the fact that the candidates are neck and neck in key states. He trusts his “13 keys to the White House” system and remains convinced that Kamala Harris will become the country’s next president.
