Ukraine’s intelligence agency has revealed that a successful sabotage operation was carried out in the Moscow region.
A Russian Air Force Mi-24 helicopter was damaged, as confirmed by Ukrainian intelligence in a statement.
“On the night of November 9 to 10, 2024, a Russian Mi-24 attack helicopter was destroyed at Klin-5 airport in the Moscow region,” the Ukrainian intelligence agency said.
The helicopter belonged to the 92nd Squadron of the 344th Training Center for new recruits. No further details were shared by Ukrainian intelligence regarding the operation, but it’s likely that Ukraine used a drone strike.
The Mi-24 helicopter took its first flight in September 1969 and entered service three years later.
Afghan forces once dubbed this helicopter the “Devil’s Chariot” due to its heavy armor and formidable firepower.
