Russia has launched a counteroffensive in the Kursk region and is continuing its campaign along the entire eastern front of Ukraine.

For over a year, Russia has been continuing its offensive. The Ukrainian operation in Kursk has not forced the Russian army to slow down its advance in an of its key areas.

The main goal of Putin’s troops now seems to be to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk region. By the end of the year, the goal is to control at least the southern part of the region, while regaining control of the Kursk region remains a priority for Moscow.

Recent reports suggest that Russia will send a quarter of its contingent of 11,000 North Korean troops to the Kursk region.

According to some sources, Moscow has gathered more than 40,000 troops for the liberation of the Kursk region.

With these reinforcements, there is a growing risk that the Ukrainian defense line will give way.
