Journalist, Bob Woodward, has published the book “War,” which traces the history of three conflicts: the Middle East, Ukraine and Russia, as well as the struggle for the presidency of the United States.
In it, he reveals some of the conversations that current US President, Joe Biden, has had over the years with Vladimir Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu and Volodymyr Zelensky.
In one of the passages in the book, Joe Biden called Netanyahu a “bad guy” in private conversations in the spring of 2024, as the Gaza war escalated and began to spread to other countries.
“That son of a b…, Bibi Netanyahu, is a bad guy. He’s a f…ing bad guy,” Mr. Biden said, according to Mr. Woodward.
Relations between the two American and Israeli leaders have been rocky, and disagreements between them have been evident. Woodward recounts this in another chapter, which features a phone conversation from back in April.
“What’s your strategy, man?” Biden asks Netanyahu.
“We have to get into Rafah,” Netanyahu replied.
“Bibi, you don’t have a strategy,” Biden replied.
You can bet that investigative journalist Bob Woodward’s “War” will again generate a lot of ink, a lot of controversy and reactions.
