The American TikToker, married to a Honduran woman, caused a stir on social media by joking about obtaining “Honduran papers.”
An American named Jacobo, known on TikTok as “Jacobo, el gringo” , caused a stir on social media with his unique sense of humor and his love for Honduras.
Although he lives in Texas, Jacobo is married to a Honduran woman and in one of his most viral videos he joked that he only married his wife to obtain “Honduran papers.”
This idea sparked laughter among his followers, who were quick to compare it to the desire of many Latinos to obtain “American papers.”
Far from just joking, Jacobo has shown in his publications his fascination with Honduran culture.
He has been seen trying to speak with Honduran idioms, singing raspe and getting excited when he finds Honduran products in his local Texas store, such as beers originating from the country. Even his own family has asked him to adopt the accent and speak more like a true catracho.
Jacobo has gone a step further, bringing his love for Honduras to his skin. He recently tattooed the Honduran flag inside the outline of the state of Texas, symbolically uniting both parts of his life in one place.

In addition to his humor and respect for Honduran culture , he has also ventured into music.
He released the song “I’m a gringo living with a Latina,” available on music platforms, in which he celebrates his life with his Honduran wife and his new connection with Honduras.
With his mix of humor, charisma and authenticity, Jacobo manages to win the affection of thousands of Hondurans, who enjoy his funny videos and his particular way of showing that, although he is a gringo, his heart increasingly beats to the rhythm of Honduras.
