The viral video of Melanie de Jesús captured by security cameras shows the exact moment in which the student is attacked by her boyfriend Christian N, which is causing shock in Mexicans, as well as in the general community, since it is a scene classified as gender violence.

The act took place during a Halloween party in Tamaulipas and according to the video, the young man hit the young woman several times, leaving her unconscious and in a serious state of health. This is why multiple sectors questioned the safety of the young women from the state of Mexico.

Following the crimes committed by Melanie’s boyfriend, who is currently a fugitive from Mexican justice, the Attorney General’s Office of Tamaulipas issued an arrest warrant and is offering a reward of $200,000  to locate the aggressor.

The clip in context shows the shocking scenes of the moment when Melanie and her friend were walking along the sidewalk at one point Christian groped the young woman who was accompanying Melanie, causing Melanie to step in the way and immediately receive a strong blow from Christian, falling to the ground.

What follows is a chilling moment, as Melanie is hit several times by Christian, who is in a drunken state, while her friend tries to defend the young woman by shouting and using coercive measures.

Melanie remains hospitalized at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) Regional General Hospital No. 6, where specialized doctors are providing her with care for the serious injuries to her face, including inflammation in her left eye.

The young woman is supported by family and friends who are calling for justice and, like many in Mexico, demanding a legal process that will make the aggressor pay.
