Vladimir Putin reportedly consulted shamans about whether to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
According to several sources, the head of state traveled to Siberia and Mongolia to obtain tactical advice on how to win the war, which has lasted for more than two years.
He also reportedly asked for the blessing of shamans regarding the use of nuclear weapons for fear of incurring their wrath, as revealed by the Russian opposition.
Vladimir Putin is said to have undertaken the perilous journey while under arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court for his role in the deportation of thousands of Ukrainian children during the Russian retreat.
According to journalist Mikhail Zygar, founder of the opposition media outlet TV Dozhd, the Russian president discreetly visited the country to consult with shamans.
“Mongolia and the Tuva region are considered the birthplace of the most powerful shamans in the world,” he wrote in the German newspaper Der Spiegel.
“Vladimir Putin has long been known for his special attitude towards mysticism. And it seems that he combines his interest in Orthodox mysticism with pagan traditions,” he added.
According to Mikhail Zygar, the Russian leader had already consulted shamans before the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
