Sally, 60, has caused a stir after revealing in an interview with The Sun that she has been covering for her daughter Sophie, 35, in an extramarital affair that has lasted more than two years.

Although Sophie has been married to Dave for over a decade and has two children with him, Sally has been complicit in her daughter’s affair with a co-worker.

Sally explains that her dislike of Dave, her son-in-law, was the reason she decided to support her daughter in her infidelity. “From the moment I met him, I couldn’t stand him. He was arrogant and loud,” she said. Although she initially chose not to interfere in Sophie’s marriage, she soon changed her mind when she saw the opportunity for her daughter to take control of her life with Ben, the man she is now secretly in a relationship with.

According to Sally, Sophie had always been an independent woman and successful at her job, which made her surprised that she settled for Dave. As time went on, Sophie’s home life began to decline, especially after she left her career to become a housewife. It was at this point that Ben came into her life, filling the emotional void left by her marriage.

Since Sophie confessed the affair to her mother, Sally has played a key role in keeping the secret, looking after her grandchildren while her daughter secretly sees Ben. “It’s my favourite thing to do,” she said, showing no remorse. For her, her daughter is finally taking control of her life and doing what makes her happy, even if it means destroying her marriage to Dave.

“I don’t feel bad for Dave,” Sally confessed, “I never thought he was the right man for my daughter.” Now, both Sophie and her mother continue with this deception, while Dave remains ignorant of what is happening behind his back.
