The Attorney General’s Office reported the prosecution of Paola Andrea Rodríguez Rincón, a woman accused of killing a dog in revenge against her ex-boyfriend, in Bello, Antioquia, Colombia.
The events occurred on June 9, 2024, when the young woman threw Moster, a dog only one year and two months old, from the 12th floor of a building.
According to the testimony of the animal’s owner, the woman arrived at his home with the intention of rekindling a romantic relationship that had ended six months ago.
However, when the man refused, the situation turned violent. In a moment of rage, while the owner of Monster was in the kitchen, Rodriguez Rincon grabbed the dog and threw it out the window, causing its death.
The Prosecutor’s Office reported that the woman was summoned on multiple occasions by the authorities, but did not appear when summoned by the courts. For this reason, she was charged as an absent person for the crime of animal abuse.
