Workers remodelling the Camp Nou are involved in a pitched fight
The 20 workers involved in the fight were fired.

The remodelling of the Spotify Camp Nou stadium turned into a regrettable event today. At around 2:30 in the afternoon, a fight between 20 workers in the middle of the work day left six workers injured.
The brawl, which involved blows with sticks, occurred while construction work was progressing on the iconic stadium.
Although the reasons for the confrontation have not yet been clarified, the fight was confirmed by journalist Anna Punsí. Fortunately, none of the injured are in serious condition.
However, the situation led to drastic measures: the 20 workers involved were immediately fired by the construction manager. The Mossos d’Esquadra did not identify those involved.
The Spotify Camp Nou project, part of the ambitious Espai Barça, has a budget of 1.45 billion euros and has generated more than 5,700 employment contracts to date. Despite this incident, work continues, with around 1,750 workers working on the 222,000 square meters of construction.
Although some board members had hoped the return to the stadium would take place in December 2024, projections indicate it could be delayed until February or March 2025.
