A stunning sporting venture was entered into by Hollywood superstars back in 2021. Despite being novices in the ownership business, Reynolds and McElhenney teamed up and set themselves the challenge of helping the Red Dragons to take flight.

      THE GOSSIP

They have overseen back-to-back promotions, while opening up a window to the world and claiming several prestigious prizes with their ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary series. Reynolds and McElhenney are regular visitors to North Wales, with their partners occasionally brought along for the ride – along with a number of famous friends.

      • WHAT KAITLIN OLSON SAID

Their respective families do not mingle much away from that spotlight, though, with Olson telling US Weekly that “everyone’s very, very busy” and she has “met Blake twice” as she and Reynolds “live on a different coast” in New York. She added: “I would love to hang out with them both more often. I love Ryan.”

        DID YOU KNOW?

While finding time in packed schedules is tricky for California-based McElhenney and Olson, she said of seeing her husband form part of a remarkable adventure that has captured the imagination of a global audience: “Honestly, it’s absolutely extraordinary. There’s nothing to compare it to. It’s unlike anything we’ve ever done before, and this community is so wonderful. They are such wonderful people. If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly suggest it. They are so supportive of each other and supportive of their team. They’ve welcomed us like family, and I would do anything for them.”

        WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?

McElhenney was back in the UK for Wrexham’s recent defeat to Birmingham in the so-called ‘Hollywood derby’ – with Tom Brady and David Beckham also at that game – and an immediate response to another setback last time out at Stevenage will be sought when Phil Parkinson’s side face Northampton on Saturday.
