    WHAT HAPPENED?

The Red Dragons suffered a 3-1 defeat against the big-spending Blues at St Andrew’s in September, with NFL legend Brady, McElhenney and ex-England captain David Beckham among those in attendance for that League One contest.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

A return date had been pencilled in for January 25. Said contest will now take place two days earlier on January 23, with Wrexham and Birmingham set to lock horns under the floodlights at SToK Racecourse on a Thursday evening – with the game being picked for television coverage.

    • DID YOU KNOW?

Wrexham will also be in Thursday night action a week prior to facing the Blues, when they head to cross-border rivals Shrewsbury. The Red Dragons’ upcoming clashes with Reading, Northampton and Mansfield have also been rearranged so that they can be broadcast to fans around the world.

      WHAT NEXT?

Phil Parkinson has his side sat third in the League One table as things stand, two points behind Birmingham – who have a game in hand – and four adrift of leaders Wycombe with 22 games still to be taken in as they look to make history with three successive promotions.
