Putin wants peace in Ukraine

Vladimir Putin has expressed his willingness to consider all options that could lead to peace in Ukraine, as the conflict has now entered its second year.
During his closing speech at the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, the Russian president addressed reporters’ questions and touched on the current situation, following North Korea’s recent military support to Moscow.
Regarding Pyongyang’s assistance, Vladimir Putin explained that Moscow is capable of managing its agreement with its Asian ally as it sees fit. The two countries signed a mutual defense pact in June.
The United States recently claimed to have concrete evidence of North Korea’s involvement in the conflict, alleging that 3,000 North Korean troops have already been sent to Russia, potentially for deployment on the Ukrainian front.
Both Seoul and Kyiv recently revealed that North Korea has sent personnel to Russia for training, with reports suggesting that North Korean pilots, capable of flying Russian fighter jets, have also traveled to Russia.
This year’s BRICS summit included Russia, China, Brazil, South Africa, India, as well as Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
