Singer Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage as Tems, has revealed something.

She conceded that life in Nigeria is “tough.”

Tems said, “Being a Nigerian has its challenges, but it also has its blessings if you use your talent and take it to places where people will value it.”

She called being a woman of Nigerian descent “a miracle.”

“Being a Nigerian woman is a miracle,” declared the Oscar-nominated diva in a recent interview with Kiss FM in London, United Kingdom. Because it’s difficult for anyone to be a Nigerian. However, I believe it is an honour if you can use your talents, embrace who you are, and go out into the world with that.

Nigerian ladies, in my opinion, are the luckiest. Although everyone is privileged in some way, I won’t claim to be the most fortunate, but Nigerian ladies hold a particular place in my heart. They hold a special place in my heart, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to be a Nigerian woman living in this day and age.
