Now things seem to have worsened for the former English star as he refused to attend a post-match press conference ahead of their Gulf Club Champions League clash against Kuwait’s Al Qadsia. Per Al-Youm, the club management are considering a change in leadership and could part ways with the 44-year-old soon. They are expected to take a final call by the end of this week.
DID YOU KNOW?
The ex-Rangers and Aston Villa coach took charge of the Saudi-based club in the summer of 2023 and guided them to a sixth-place finish in his maiden campaign. They started the new season on a high by winning three consecutive league games, but thereafter their form took a major dip and the club has now lost four out of their last six games across all competitions.

WHAT NEXT?
After their upcoming Gulf Club Champions League clash on Tuesday, Al-Ettifaq will be back in action in the Saudi league on Friday as they take on reigning champions and league leaders Al-Hilal. A loss against the Saudi giants could see the Englishman exiting the club.
